Scrypt mining
One Scrypt miner plays two lotteries at once. Litecoin draws a block about every 2.5 minutes and Dogecoin about every minute. With merged mining, every hash your miner makes is a ticket in both.
Snapshot from 23 Oct 2026
Data from litecoinspace.org and Blockchair. At the next halving the Litecoin block reward drops from 6.25 to 3.125 LTC. Dogecoin's reward stays at 10,000 DOGE. Dogecoin adjusts its difficulty every block, so its odds on this page move through the day.
How the draw works
Litecoin and Dogecoin both use the Scrypt algorithm. Since 2014, Dogecoin has accepted work done for Litecoin, which is called merged mining. Pick a pool that supports it and the same miner chases both prizes with no extra power.
A Scrypt miner makes millions of guesses per second (MH/s). Bitcoin miners cannot do this: Bitcoin uses a different algorithm, SHA-256.
The pool checks every guess against the Litecoin target and the Dogecoin target. Dogecoin's target is usually easier, so its blocks come more often.
On a solo pool, a winning guess pays that block's reward to you, minus the pool's fee. You do not share it with other miners.
Some pools also merge-mine smaller Scrypt coins. This page counts only Litecoin and Dogecoin.

Plays all three
One box with both kinds of chips: SHA-256 for Bitcoin and Scrypt for Dogecoin and Litecoin. It runs both at the same time, so it holds tickets in all three lotteries. At about 50 dB and 500 W, it suits a garage, office, or basement better than a desk.
| Chip | Hashrate | Lottery | Chance per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| SHA-256 | 15 TH/s | Bitcoin | 1 in 466K |
| Scrypt | 1.08 GH/s | Dogecoin | 1 in 2,329 |
| Scrypt | 1.08 GH/s | Litecoin | 1 in 4,223 |
More tickets for less: HeliumDeploy also sells Scrypt bundles, including the Doge Duo Pack (DC06 + DC08) and the Doge Trio Pack (three DC06).
Hashrate, power, and noise figures come from HeliumDeploy's product listings (checked 23 Oct 2026), not our own tests. Efficiency is power divided by hashrate, in joules per megahash (J/MH): lower means more hashing for the same electricity. The odds are our calculation from those figures and the live network difficulty.
Where to play
Both of these let you solo mine Litecoin and Dogecoin together. The pool fee is the share of a found block that the pool keeps.
Rewards go straight to your own addresses inside the block, with no pool balance to withdraw.
us.litesolo.org:3333 or eu.litesolo.org:3333your-litecoin-address.rig1DOGE=your-dogecoin-addressA multi-coin solo pool that added merged Litecoin and Dogecoin mining in January 2026. It is non-custodial: no pool wallet and no balances.
Setup details are on the pool's Litecoin page.

You need a Litecoin address and a Dogecoin address. Never use an exchange deposit address. Use a wallet that only you hold the keys to. All Trezor hardware wallets support both coins, including the Trezor Safe 3 from our Bitcoin wallet list. Note that Bitcoin-only wallets like Blockstream Jade and SeedSigner cannot hold Dogecoin or Litecoin.

A Hammer DC08 has about a 1 in 15 chance each year of a Dogecoin block. That is far better than the Bitcoin odds of any miner on our Bitcoin page. But the prizes are small. On average the DC08 earns about $70 a year in Dogecoin and Litecoin, and uses about $204 of electricity at $0.17/kWh.

Questions
Yes. Dogecoin has been merge-mined with Litecoin since 2014. A Scrypt miner on a pool that supports merged mining checks every hash against both networks, so the same work can win a Litecoin block, a Dogecoin block, or both.
No. Bitcoin uses SHA-256, and Dogecoin and Litecoin use Scrypt. Each needs its own type of chip. Dual machines such as the Harlo H15 Dual contain both.
The Scrypt networks are far smaller than Bitcoin's, and their blocks come 4 to 10 times as often. The trade-off is the prize: a Dogecoin or Litecoin block is worth hundreds of dollars, not hundreds of thousands.
On average, no. A small Scrypt miner wins blocks far more often than a Bitcoin miner of the same price, but the expected value is usually below the electricity cost. New mining rewards also have to wait for confirmations before you can spend them.
